CURRENT PROJECTS

Photovoltaics communal facility

OUR SOLUTION.

Kwantum developed this energy concept in consultation with the client. We undertook planning, installation and operation of the photovoltaic system. Furthermore, we manage the electricity contract for tenants of the technology center as well as energy billing. We planned a storage solution, in case of a power outage. All together we will reach 70% self-sufficiency. Apart from benefits for homeowners and tenants, electromobility users profit as well, because planned charging stations will also be using clean solar power.

“Thanks to the extensive support and competence of the team from Kwantum we can offer our tenants this photovoltaics communal facility. This project makes us pioneers regarding innovative usage of renewable energies and helps us save money.”

Solar power station lowers energy costs

The objective: installing the largest photovoltaics community facility in Austria, offering tenants clean solar power up to 10% cheaper than regular power. This way solar power helps save money and help climate protection.

Resource efficiency – Food processing plant

With a focus on avoiding and recycling waste, the various flows of material in different production areas were analyzed and visualized with a project team consisting of members from different departments.

OUR SOLUTION

By introducing a revised separation system at the point of origin of waste material, intensive training of employees, as well as the implementation of new recycling methods, the waste was reduced by 75%. This did not only reduce disposal costs, but also significantly increased the revenues out of reusable material. In addition to the monetary impact, we were also able to achieve positive effects in terms of greenhouse gas emissions, as 150 tons of CO2 per year have been saved.

“Our mission statement includes the constant improvement of resource efficiency. In close cooperation with Kwantum, we succeeded in improving our waste management and significantly reduced costs of disposal.”

From waste to reusable material

The objective: avoiding solid waste in manufacturing processes und use it as rework or untilize it as  valuable substances.

LED street lights – urban community

Efficient lighting concept

The objective: improved lighting – reduced energy costs – reduced ecological footprint.

Various saving measures were defined on the basis of an energy optimization project. One of those measures has been the renewal of the street lighting. By using the latest, cost-saving and energy-efficient LED lighting technology, the security of the citizens has been increased and at the same time energy costs were reduced by 75%. Additionally, the selected lighting reduces the ecological footprint as it saves 30 tons of CO2 per year.

OUR SOLUTION

Kwantum developed this energy-optimized lighting concept in close cooperation with the customer. 700 street lamps were evaluated and reviewed for power consumption and maintenance costs before a potential analysis was carried out. First approaches for optimization were discussed with community representatives and potential service providers, following a final concept, which was developed together. Besides the complete renewal of the street lighting, also a 10-year maintenance contract was included the scope of supply.

Reduced energy and maintenance costs resulted in annual savings of approximately € 50,000, through which in turn, the LED street lighting has been financed.

“In addition to the implementation of a very energy-efficient street lighting, various design aspects were also realized within the community. Thanks to the professional support of KWANTUM, an optimal cost-concept was developed, in which the implementation of the project has never exceeded costs or delivery deadlines.“

Energiekonzept - wohnhausanlage

energieoptimierung
